Sweden - October 2012
Friends Arena is the national arena of Sweden.
It's a multifunctional arena located in Solna, at the north of Stockholm City Centre: Friends Arena, SE-169 79 SOLNA, Sweden. Its capacity is 50,000 spectators for sport events and up to 65,000 for concerts.
Main hosting sports organizations: the main tenants of the stadium are Sweden’s national football team and top-tier Stockholm football club AIK.
History: the construction works started on December 7th 2009.
The opening ceremony was entitled as “Swedish Moments” directed by Colin Nutley and took place on October 27th 2012. On November 14th 2012 Sweden played the opening match against England in a friendly game (Sweden defeated England 4-2).
